Below are some frequently asked questions…..
1. What are the seating arrangements at Cinema in the Village?
Byo: beanbags, pillows, cushions, blankets or low backed camping chairs. So that everyone can see the screen, we encourage please leave normal height folding chairs at home. However if you must bring them, you will be asked to sit at the back.
2. What time can we arrive and what time is the movie actually starting / finishing?
Gates open from 5pm. We are planning to start the movie just after sunset, around 6pm. Up! runs for 92 minutes so the movie will finish at approximately 7.30pm.
3. Will food and drink be available on the night?
Yes!
We will have a BBQ stall selling steak sandwiches, sausage sandwiches and drinks. However we also encourage you to bring a picnic dinner (no nuts please).
4. What if it is raining?
We will do our very best to screen the movie outside. But if the weather is really bad, the movie will be shown on the large screen inside the church.
5. Can I bring my dog?
No. Please leave your pets at home.
6. Can I bring alcohol?
No. As a family-friendly event, please leave your alcohol at home for another occasion.
7. Can I smoke?
In the interests of public health, please leave your tobacco at home for another time.
8. What if the space gets full and I can’t find anywhere to sit?
This is a free, community event with unreserved seating in the grounds of All Saints church. If the grass area becomes full, we will have the movie set up inside the church as an ‘overflow’…but we think there will be plenty of room for everybody!
9. How are we going to find our belongings at the end of the movie?
We will turn on floodlights at the end of the movie so everyone can pack up.
