The 40-Day Digital Fast, developed by Darren Whitehead, is a church community fast that aims to help Christians to clear the digital clutter, so that Jesus has more space to work in our hearts and relationships.
At All Saints, fasting is something with which many of us are unfamiliar. It’s counter-cultural and unappealing to our often ‘full’ life-styles. But for many of us, I believe this will be a very worthwhile spiritual endeavour.
When will we do it? 4 August – 12 September
Who is it for? This is not for everyone right now, but for individuals, families, small groups, etc. who think they might be able to give this a go.
What will it look like? There are some key components, but it’ll look different for everyone (see link below). Let’s encourage each other however each of us we decide to do this digital fast.
‘By turning down the digital noise, you will experience the time, space and mental clarity to listen to the voice of God.’ – Darren Whitehead.
