FRESH Senior is kicking off the year looking at Jesus, and specifically the claims he makes in Luke’s gospel through words and actions, and what that reveals about his identity.
Jesus fulfils a lot of the Old Testament’s expectations of a coming Saviour (Messiah), but at the same time he does much that is unexpected and uncomfortable, and teaches in a way that is so offensive to the Jewish religious establishment that he gets himself killed.
What are we to make of Jesus? How are we to respond to such a confronting historical figure?
