The Unexpected Kingdom
Jesus and his message have always provoked mixed reactions. This term at All Saints we’re looking at Matthew 12-16 in our Sunday services and midweek Bible fellowship groups. In these chapters we see heated debate about who Jesus really is and whether he can support his grandiose claims. We hear Jesus teaching in detail about the “kingdom of heaven” he’s been announcing – for those with ears to hear. And in the end we see the penny drop for one observer as we reach the climactic turning point of the story.
