Are you blessed?

Nine times in as many verses Jesus says that various people are “blessed“. If being blessed is a good thing how can Jesus suggest that,

“Blessed are those who mourn”

and

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me”?

Matthew 5  demonstrates that the world only makes sense if we understand eschatology! But what in the world is eschatology and how does it apply to us in 2018?

Hear again Jesus’ famous words from The Sermon on the Mount and what it means for Jesus’ disciples to be “salt” and be “the light of the world”.

… let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
