Some of us like to make plans – and sometimes we hold onto them very tightly. Others of us take one day at a time, living by the motto “that’s a problem for Future Homer”. But whether or not you are the planning type, this Bible passage from James 4-5 challenges you about your confidence in the future. James warns us against a foolish confidence that produces evil boasting, and urges a wise confidence that waits patiently for the Lord’s coming.
