This Sunday is the beginning of a series of three talks exploring the topic of church life. We’re looking at three passages from the middle of Paul’s first letter to the church in Corinth. It’s a church from which we can learn a lot – not so much by following their example, but by avoiding their mistakes!
In this first talk from 1 Cor 11:17‑34 we consider the Lord’s Supper – a symbolic meal that was instituted by Jesus and handed on to Christian churches everywhere. We see how the Corinthians were getting it wrong and how we can celebrate it rightly. And we consider the deeper realities that this meal points us to.
