Our Eyes Look to the Lord

Where are you looking?

Psalm 123 is a reminder that God’s people travel through hostile territory.  This world is opposed to God and His people.  In this very practical psalm, we’re reminded to expect opposition and we’re told how to respond.

Wanting to be protected – even removed – from the world’s contempt for God is understandable.  Instead, following the example of Jesus, our response must be to trust in the LORD and in His strength.  Looking to Him, we are to endure, living faithful lives of obedience to the One who shows mercy.
