Kings live in palaces, wear designer labels, eat gourmet meals, and generally live in luxury, right?  Those who experience suffering, mockery and shame are a different, far-removed class of person, right?

As the apostle John narrates the death of Jesus, he makes it clear that’s what we’re seeing here is the death of a king.  It’s written above Jesus’ head in three languages!  In this talk we explore what it means for Jesus to be the suffering king – the anticipated suffering king, the caring suffering king, and the successful suffering king.  Will you make him your suffering king?
