Psalm 124 is a song that testifies to the help of God as we travel the road of discipleship. Four brief pictures provide a picture of danger, death & the enemy and are followed by praise to the God who rescues and saves. God does not keep us from adversity but he promises to see us through the darkness night and lead us home. Our help in times of trouble is found in the maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 124 is echoed in Paul’s words when he says in Romans Chapter 8:31 “If God is for us who can be against us.” Some may ask but “how do I know God is for me?” The answer is found in the next verse “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things.”
