James writes,
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well
But that is clearly not our experience! We have prayed earnestly, in faith, for friends and family, and yet they have not gotten well. Indeed, some have even died. How do we make sense of these very challenging and seemingly fanciful words from James 5?
James also writes, “If they have sinned, they will be forgiven”. What does James mean by “if they have sinned”, when surely everybody has sinned?
