An awesome vision of the end

The book of Daniel closes with an extraordinary vision of a time to come. The revelation of chapters 10-12 is that God has set a day. This will be a day of both judgement and a day of justice.

The good news of this vision is that there is a future for the people of God.

There will be times of intense suffering. But God has set a time when He will fully and finally deliver His people.

The confronting news of this vision is that God has set a day of final justice. All those who have set themselves against God along with those who refuse HIs forgiveness will experience God’s everlasting justice.

Those who are wise are called to follow Daniel’s example and ready themselves for the end. We like Daniel are encouraged to ask God’s forgiveness now so that we would inherit His free gift of eternal life on the last day.
