The power of touch

The power of touch

We’ve begun a new mini-series looking at some extracts from Luke’s gospel in the lead-up to Easter.

As we read Luke 8:40‑56 we meet two desperate people and see two amazing moments of touch.  In our circumstances today, where desperation is rising and touch is a more and more scarce commodity, this story pops out all the more. In this sermon we hear Jesus’ call “do not be afraid, just believe” and consider what that means (and doesn’t mean) for us in the covid-19 world.
