Jesus’ disciples had heard him talk about the coming “kingdom of heaven”, and they had a question: “who is the greatest, in the kingdom of heaven?”. They wanted to know who’d be at the top of the ladder, and how they could get up there too. But Jesus’ reply showed them that a whole different way of thinking was needed. In this talk on Matthew 18:1‑14 we see the importance of the low position, and its implications for relating to the people around us.
