Nothing is more vital than prayer in Christian existence, and few things are more vulnerable to neglect. – John Piper
In term 3 2019 we’ll be spending nine Sundays exploring the topic of prayer. Praying to the God of the universe is an incredible privilege, and is the heartbeat of the Christian life, yet so often our prayers can be trivial, self-centred, overly narrow in focus, or frankly, non-existent. In the Sunday sermons we’ll be looking at prayer from a systematic perspective, considering what prayer really is and the different aspects of our conversation with God. In our small groups we’ll be studying some examples of prayer in the Bible – “eavesdropping” on the prayers of major biblical characters to see what we can learn from them.
See below the study guide in two formats (1-up is best for reading on-screen, 2-up is best for printing on A4).
