“Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end” – John 13.1b
The second half of John’s gospel is known as the “book of glory”. It narrates Jesus’ final hours with his disciples, his famous ‘farewell discourse’, his crucifixion and resurrection. We’ll be digging into this section of scripture in term 1, to see how it helps us to “believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing we may have life in his name” (John 20:31).
