We have the saying: ‘I can’t read your mind’. As we want people in our lives, to communicate clearly with us. To tell us about what they want, and what they want us to do. There are certain situations with our loved ones, where we can have a good idea, about what they’re thinking. But with those we hardly know at all, it is virtually impossible to read their minds, unless they tell us something. The only one who knows all that goes on in our heads is God. But it is not everyday that God will reveal to us some great secret, that was hidden.
But our passage of Daniel 2 is one of those special times, where God revealed a great mystery that was hidden. God creates the situation where He shows to his own people, and those not his own people. That he really is the true and sovereign God, in control of all things. He reveals His wisdom and is building an everlasting Kingdom, including all of us who believe in Him.
