The Man of Promise

The Man of Promise

Origins matter, don’t they.  Even today, in the era of the “self made man”, it’s still your origins that you get measured against.

The book of Genesis is well known for talking about the origins of the universe and the human race in its opening chapters.  But after human rebellion makes the created world go pear shaped, a whole new origin story begins in chapter 12.  We see here the origins of the people of God, and the start of God’s big plan to restore the whole world.

This talk explores the meaning and the purpose of being the people of God, drawing out four lessons that Christians can learn today from the call of Abram back then.
