The book of psalms is an unusual part of the Bible. It wasn’t written by a single person at a particular point in time. Rather, it’s a compilation of songs and prayers written by various people over a long period of history. But it’s not just a jumble of material that accumulated randomly. The book of psalms has a structure, and it’s got a plot. In this talk we discover the big picture of the book of psalms, and in Psalm 2 we meet the major characters who feature throughout its plot, and in particular the King around whom the whole story revolves.
