Easter Day

Easter Day

Through the eyes of Mary Magdalene we see the empty tomb on Easter morning, and are forced to ponder its meaning. Did incompetent thieves steal the wrong thing, or did Jesus take his body with him when he returned to the Father? And if he did, what does that mean for us, even for creation itself?

Next, Mary sees—but does not see—the risen Christ. Recognition does not come easy, but when Jesus speaks her name it opens her eyes to a truth that is invisible to many people today, but is more real and more important than the world we can see.
