Remember your Creator in the days of your youth
Chapters 11 and 12 of the book of Ecclesiastes urges us to be bold, generous, joyful and real. This urging is painted on a three-fold background that many of us choose to or want to ignore – 1) God’s judgment (11:9), 2) the brevity of our youth (12:1), and 3) the harsh reality of old-age (the beautifully dark poem of 12:2-7).
